Summer's Over

Back to work in the school system... summer went by too quick! But its good to be back in a routine.

It's been a quiet but eventful summer.  The last two weeks were crazy and was wiped out by labour day. 

JP and I headed out on our trip before i started to work again and he returns to school.

We started off in Auburn, NY (30 minutes west of syracuse). Attended my friend's wedding whom I went to school with in Buffalo. It was nice to see my old friends from buffalo and see what thy are up to now!

The next day we headed towards the Hamptons. On the way there, passed by the Finger Lakes and the Tangers Outlet Mall (HUGE!!!).  Too many stores!!  We ended up at the the tip of Long Island - Montauk,NY.  Cute little town.. we decided to stay there since it is known for their surf.  Despite the rainy weather, JP and I rented wetsuits, surf board and for me, a boogie board.  No pics... since there was no one to take care of the camera on the beach : (  And of course, the freash seafood was awesome... lobster every night we were there!

The last stop - NYC.  Our home away from home... shopped till we literaly dropped..  No pics..cause we totally forgot to take any..too busy shopping!!  Boo.. we saw Fergie and Penelope Cruz!

We got home and to our surprise my most favorite guy (besides JP) came to visit  and at the same time my very good friend has left for teacher's college in Windsor  , and of course joaner came back from seatlle to visit.

 To end it all off, we celebrated my beautiful grandmother's 86th birthday!

Choices

I felt like a real "adult" today..haha.. I had to make a career decision today and with that had to really take in the things around me and had to ask myself if it is worth taking it or not?  Received a job offer for an OT position in NYC!  Yippee!! Great people and great place to be. It was where i had my student placement so it's comfortable. However, i decided not to take it and am happy with the decision.  It's funny, im sure if this happened to me a few years back I would've took it in a blink of an eye.  Well, when you have things to compare and think about like my family and JP, current job (which i LOVE!), and of course my friends..oh and the cost of living... it just didn't seem worth it or even maybe not the right time of my life.  My heart says to stay here. There are always more career opportunities around the corner be it a new job or further advancing my current job.

One good thing came out of it though..a trip to NYC.. a much needed and long awaited getaway with my mom.  Awesome shopping and "Chicago" was excellent! And of course, met up with susie and joyce in chinatown! 

To end the long weekend..my cousins and i went to the beach..in Brampton!!! Who would of thought?

4 More Days!

Heading to NYC for the long weekend..haven't been back since my internship in 2003!!??!! Time flies 

Can't wait... spending time with my cousins, sister and JP. 

And we're finally seeing RENT!!
